Islam as a religion has different aspects but one of them that seems to be more significant is morality.
I belive the behaviour of today Muslims can not be real evidence of Islam’s approach in this field.
The best way to know Islamic ethics in practice is looking at Islam’s prophet and his behaviours.
Throughout his life we can find the nature of Islamic ethics.
Through this anecdote we can find a part a Islam’s beauty:
A person came to Prophet Mohammad and said: “O God’s messenger, grant me some advices.”
The Prophet said: “Never get angry.”
He said: “I will do my best.” And he returned from there. When he came to his people, he found them in a serious dispute divided into two groups and they were all armed. When he saw this he got infuriated.
He also armed himself to fight but suddenly remembered the Prophet’s advice. He immediately took off his armor and went to those whom he opposed. He said: “O people, I will recompense you for whatever wounds you have suffered and all those who have been killed from you.” They said: “We forgive all that we have lost in the battle.” So peace was made between the two parties and anger was removed from their hearts.
I think this simple suggestion can easily change our world
